Ok so it’s a double meaning, with the LOST season finale on tonight (right now, but I’m recording it, and watching Lakers/Spurs as said in previous post.)

I’ve always enjoyed getting lost for the hell of it since I’ve had a car, just driving around streets and areas you may not know very well. I’ve found it’s a great way to to get familiar and comfortable with a new area too. Just drive around. The nice thing about Boston and Massachusetts in general, its really not THAT big. You can’t really get yourself to lost or confused. Or so I thought.

The other night coming home I decided to take a different exit home and was surprised to find a huge Target Greatland and a Gamestop along with other fun things right off that exit. So today I drove around that area, and got myself WICKED turned around, ending up before I figured out where I was, about 7 miles in the other direction from where my brain felt I was and where I was going.

I’ve got a family as my Dad says with ‘the nose’ for direction. Fun Fact, men have more iron in their nose than women, and are therefore scientifically better aware of direction. I don’t think its by much. My father and I have always been able to figure out where we are.

Today, not so much. I figured it out, it wasnt hard, but all of a sudden I looked over to see a commuter rail stop expecting it to be for one town, and having it be for a completely other one. It was a strange feeling, like oh, crap, now I really dont know where I am.

5 minutes later I found my way back to the highway and was on my way. Sometimes getting LOST is fun. Hopefully this afternoon wasnt an omen for tonight. Only time will tell.
